She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna Hodges (Ogden) and Robert Hodges; her husband Edwin Kirkpatrick; and her siblings, Helen Black, Bessie Black, Orville Hodges and Wilford Hodges.

She is survived by: her daughter Ruth Kirkpatrick (Tom Stetter). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; as well as other close friends.

Memorial donations can be made in her to name East Bend Baptist Church, 12246 Lower River Rd, Union, KY 41091.

They both loved the Lord very well and showed practical love to others in many ways. Edwin and Shirley were active with Truckers Christian Chapel, Fairhaven Rescue Mission, churches where they served, and in other ministries as well. Their years of faithfulness are a remarkable legacy.”
