He is survived by: his wife Nancy Becker Roland of Burlington; his children, Joe Roland, Jr. (Jeanette) of Denver, N. C., Tony Roland (MarMae) of Burlington, Greg Roland of Grant County, Andy Roland (Len) of Cherryville, NC, Chris Roland (Debbie) of Burlington, Matthew Roland (Laura) of Union and Nancy Niehaus (Bill) of Independence; his brother Ronald Roland of Marietta, GA; his grandchildren, Kristen, Nicholas, Brittany, Nathan, Jason, Ethan, Michaela, James, Amber, Robert, Kevin and Parker; and his great grandchildren, Carter, Lily, Jenna, Lexi, Abby, Josie, Alister, Aria, Locke, Mary, Bernadette, Peter, Joseph, Liliana and Noah.
In lieu of flower, memorials are suggested to Mary Queen of Heaven Church.
