He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Robert A. Matheny, Sr. and Gertrude Smeltzer Matheny. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Matheny (Murray); his sons, Tommy Thompson (Luticia), Robert A. Matheny, III (late Sharon) and John Matheny (Pat); and his sister Mary Milton Fanthorp (late Al). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; one great grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
