He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Sandmann; his parents, Louis and Elizabeth; and his brothers, Donald and Louis.

He is survived by: his children, Ted, Craig and Laura; his daughters-in-law, Julie and Sarah; and his grandchildren, Morgan Sandmann Forbes (Mason), Josh, Nicholas, Nathan and Nolan.
