He was predeceased by: his sister Ida Wiggington; and his parents, James Ward, Jr. and Ellen Ward. He is survived by: his son Jason Ward (Jamie) of Burlington, KY; and his sister Gloria Grubbs of Elsmere, KY. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
