She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hilary and Lillian Iris Hardin Truax; her son Steven Lee Kestler; and her siblings, Harry Thomas Truax, Juanita Myrtle Boedeker and Marjorie Pauline Perkins.

She is survived by: her husband Don L. Kestler of Burgin; her daughter Shauna Burger (Roy) of Burgin; her daughter-in-law Melinda Kestler of Burgin; her brother John H. "Buddy" Truax, Jr. (Bonnie) of Louisville; her grandchildren, Dawn Michelle Sexton (Lewis), Shawn Michael Burger (Kristin), Christian Lee Kestler and Ethan Daniel Kestler; and her great grandchildren, Cooper Lewis Sexton of Shawn Michael, Emerson Kate "Emma" Sexton, Jayden "Reed" Sexton, Ashlynn Jaymeson Burger and Jacob Alexander "Jake" Burger. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
