He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Carrier Shannon of Burgin and William Shannon (Bill) of Burgin; his former wife Dolores Freeman; and his brothers, Bennie Michael and Lennie Patrick Shannon.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Shannon (Sonya), Leia Norman (Dwayne) and Sherri Shannon; his sister Patricia Phelps of Stanford; his fiancée Wilma Yates Baker of Lexington; and his pets, Gracie and Bandit. He is also survived by seven grand children and seven great-grand-children.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel (345 E Lexington St, Harrodsburg, KY 40330). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
