He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Rutledge and Marilyn Maureen Atwell Rutledge; and his granddaughter Megan Pierce. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Rutledge; his children, Teresa Howard (David), Bonnie Johnson (Jesse), Judy Graham, Pam Meredith, Joanne, Robert Rutledge (Twala), Danny Rutledge (Lynn) and Greg Howard (Sandy); and his siblings, Judy Owens (Bobby), Marie Burd, Mitchell Rutledge (Deborah), Marion Rutledge, Ricky Rutledge and Roger Rutledge (Lesa). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
