Lee Roy Prather Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lee Roy Prather (Buckner, Kentucky), who passed away on December 12, 2020 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Prather and Ethel Prather; his daughter Leah Prather; and his siblings, Edwin Prather, Edna Prather, Lottie Mae Ritchie and Sue Jackson.

He is survived by: his children, Brooks Prather (April) of New Castle, Joe Hessami (Michelle) of Lexington and Jeanne Hartman (Chas) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Blake, Nolan Prather of New Castle, Kristin Lamb (Will Niehaus) of Indiana, Emily Miller (Reece) of Lexington and Isabella Hartman of Lexington; his great grandchild Ash Miller of Lexington; his mother-in-law Myra K. Schureck of LaGrange; his siblings, Charles Prather, Jr., Ray Prather (Treva), Turk Prather (Janet), Sam Prather (Donna), George Ritchie (Donna), Doris Abell, Margaret Potts (Gary), Theresa Lackmann (Bob) and Linda Clark (David); and also Mary Ann.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Highpoint in Lagrange, KY, The Beacon House in Louisville, KY or to the Charlie Prather Scholarship fund.

I remember him well from all of the family gatherings I was invited to(there used to be one every holiday). Pete was a good guy and I am thinking of all of you. Rusty Ends”
