He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. Sparks and Luella McCrady Sparks; and his brother Randell "Tiny" Sparks. He is survived by: his children, David Kidd (Alican) of Louisville, Terry Sparks (Katherine) of Louisville, Jennifer Porciello of Louisville and Tia McNay Johnston of Louisville; and his sister Karen Frank (Don). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
