He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Clemmons and Lois Graham Clemmons; and his siblings, Freda Brooks, Wanda Blanton Lashley, Vanda Davis and Kenneth Clemmons.
He is survived by: his wife Janis Musick Clemmons; his daughters, Vickie Wells of Brownsville and Rhonda Clemmons of Brownsville; his grandchildren, Mason Wells, Zac Mello and Megan Wells; his brother Larry Clemmons (Danzel); and his brother-in-law Frank Davis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
