He was predeceased by: his parents, Layman Carroll and Maxine Prunty Carroll; and his brothers, Danny and Ricky Carroll. He is survived by: his children, Amy Thornhill (Bobby) and Nathan Carroll; his grandchildren, Michelle Merritt (Patrick) of Brownsville and Mason Thornhill of Brownsville; and his great grandchildren, Jackson and Stella Merritt. He is also survived by two nieces and a nephew.
