It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertie Clara Johnson of Brownsville, Kentucky, who passed away on August 24, 2021, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Denham and Lula Johnson Denham; her spouse Bro. William G. Johnson; her children, Linda Kay Vincent, James Leonard Johnson and Virginia McPeak; her granddaughter Debra Deweese; her sons-in-law, Lonard Lindsey and Kenneth McPeak; and her siblings, Gertie Denham, Emily East, Roy Denham, Lillie Mills, Mary Willoubly, Conard Denham, Elmer Denham and June Denham.
She is survived by: her children, Vernice Childress (Elmo) of Mammoth Cave, Alpha Lindsey of Chalybeate, Roland Johnson (Mary) of Chalybeate, Bertie Evelyn Deweese (Larry) of Cecilia and William Earl Johnson (Sherry) of Mohawk; her son-in-law Jerry C. Vincent of Brownsville; and her siblings, John Denham, Clifford Denham and Mamie Spinks. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.
