He was predeceased by: his parents, William Roy and Anna Laura Lucas Reed; his son-in-law David Brooks; and his siblings, Dorothy Roseberry and Charles Robert Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Rawlings Reed; his children, Pam Brooks, Angela Klein (John), David Allen Reed (Kathy), James Reed (Sandy) and Carroll Reed (Tammy); and his sister Mary Lou Schlueter. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Fairview Christian Church.
