He was predeceased by: his parents, Dalton J. Smith and Virginia Woods Smith; his grandson Glayton Smith; and his siblings, Diane Smith, Rosie Smith, Terry Smith, Dorothy "Dottie" Smith, Danny Smith and Bonnie Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Robin Duke Smith; his children, Melinda Persinger of Cynthiana, KY, Kary Moore (Marc) of Alexandria, KY, Tasha Fox (Joe) of Norwood, OH, Elaine Cunningham of Brooksville, KY. and Jacob Smith of Brooksville, KY.; his grandchildren, Julie, Bella, Kira, Jordan, Mariah, Russ, Brianna, Donnie, Dalton, Peyton, Juliana, Tevann, Alexander, Will, Nolan, Malaki, Deklyn and Willow Jean; his great grandchildren, Kingston and Ka'Laysia; and his siblings, Elizabeth Boyd, Malcolm Smith and Jeannie Staggs.
