She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Doty and Mary Doty (Keefe) of Cohoes; her husband Charles Abbott of Cohoes; her son Thomas Abbott; her children-in-law, Paul Bullock and Jackie Abbott; her granddaughter Joan Mary Abbott; and her siblings, Rev. Harold Doty, Eileen Jensen, Lillian Taylor, Shirley Doty, William Doty and Joseph Doty.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Bullock (late Paul), Donald Abbott (Lynne) and Joseph Abbott (Kelly); her daughter-in-law Vicki Abbott (late Thomas); her grandchildren, Kathleen Gillespie (Todd), Brian Bullock (Carolyn), Jason, Jerod, Jessica, Nikole, Joseph (Alyssa), John Abbott, Wayne and MaryJean Whitney; her sister Dorothy Taylor (late William); and her sisters-in-law, Dawn Doty (late William) and Heidi (late Joseph). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home (105 Vliet Blvd, Cohoes, NY 12047). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12044.
