He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Rankin Simons; his children, David Simons, Jr. of Germantown, KY, Dickie Simons (Tracy) of Germantown, KY and Denise Mains (Jerome) of Augusta; his grandchildren, Savanna Brumley (Kaine), Daniel Simons and Lindsey Mains; his great grandchild Braxten; his sisters, Bernice Thompson Clayton and Sudie Poe (Ray); and his great-nephews, Jimmy, Jesse Poe, Jason and Tasha Turner.
