He is survived by: his friends, Post and Legion; his sons, Silas "Sye Paul" Hughes (Rita) of Somerset and David Russell Hughes (Shirley) of Science Hill; his stepson Edward Wayne "Dumpy" Girdler (Charlotte) of Cynthiana; and his grandchildren, Carey Ann Hughes (Christopher Sears) of Somerset, Paul David Hughes, Casper Stanley Hughes, Justin Wells (Kristany) and Dustin Wells (Meagan).
