He is survived by: his wife Glenda Ashley; his sons, Merle Ashley (Lora) of Bronston and Christopher Ashley (Destany) of Crab Orchard; his siblings, James Ashley (Sue), Delmar Ashley (Donna), Bobby Ashley (Regina) of Eubank, Brenda Caldwell of Eubank, Linda Padgett of Eubank and Patsy Dick (Michael) of Wall Town; and his grandchildren, Keira Ashley and Ember Ashley.
