She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lester Waters and Oda Maxine Stigall Waters; her daughter Emily Jo Nevels; and her siblings, David Waters, Donald "Ducky" Waters and Linda Gale Waters.
She is survived by: her fiancé Larry Nevels of Bronston; her stepson Michael Nevels of Bronston; her siblings, Robert Waters (Betty) of Somerset, Betty Catron (Casper) of Shopville, Debbie Strunk (Wayne) of Burnside and Sandy Butler (Larry); her grandson Cameron Adams; and her niece Chrystal Presley. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
