She was predeceased by: her parents, Bishop Smallwood and Pheobe Jane Wagers Smallwood; her husband Parker Garland; her children, Alma Mayfield, Amanda Phelps and Jeffrey Garland; her siblings, Adrian "Bud" Smallwood, Robert Nicholas Smallwood, Myrtle Smith, Mattie Allen and Roxie Messer; her grandson Jason Hembree; and her great grandchild Andrea Blevins.
She is survived by: her children, Kenny Hembree of Bronston, Bruce Garland of Monticello, Michael Garland of Bronston, Virginia Braden of Stanford, Connie Mills of Bronston, Rhonda Ramsey of Somerset, Donna Hoskins of London and Margo McElwain of Cincinnati; her brother Oakley Smallwood of Barbourville, KY; and her grandchildren, Parker Jeffery Garland, Timothy Garland, Ronnie Garland, Donnie Garland, Bryan Garland, Ronald Hembree, Donald Hembree, Angie Hembree, Michia Hembree, Misty Hembree, Billy Cook, Joshua Dobbs, Ashley Dobbs, Chad Dobbs, Millie Arthur, Kyle Cook, Brad Cook, Jessica Cook, Cassey and Jennifer Garland. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
