He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James M. Lockard and Carolyn Lockard; his siblings, Joe Lockard, Linda Jones and Carol Davis; his wife Norma Jean Lockard; his son Matthew Lockard (Rachael Kiefer) of Richmond; his grandchildren, Jackson Lockard (Jessica Norton) of Brodhead and Laura Bolin (Stephen) of Bloomfield, KY; his children, James M. Lockard (Lois) of Bronston, Judy Howard (Carl) of Blue John, Teresa Sweet (Michael) of Somerset and Wanda Walden (Walter) of Bronston; his brother Roger Lockard (Debbie) of Burnside; and his sister-in-law Sue Lockard of Bronston. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.
