It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Abney of Brodhead, Kentucky, who passed away on September 8, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Abney and Flausie Abney (Shearer); his wife Laura Freda Abney (Cameron); his children, Laura Howard, Ronald Abney and Tracy Caudill; and his brothers, William Abney and Doc Abney.
He is survived by: his children, Martha Morgan, Marty of Brodhead, KY, Johnny Abney of Ashland, KY, Sherry Fuson of Mt. Vernon, KY, Rebecca of Livingston, KY, Donald Fred Abney of Mt. Vernon, KY and Samantha Cook of Mt. Vernon, KY; and his sisters, Faye Bullen and Flora Mae Taylor.
