He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, F. E. Gentry and Ruby Jewell Sutton Gentry; his son Asbil James Jr. (Annette); his granddaughter Tiffany Nicole Elliott (Robbie); his great grandchildren, Braxton Lee Meadows and Landon Blake Meadows; his sister Luella G. Cass; the mother of his children Doris Ann Fitch; his niece Susan Tankersley; and his cousins, Geraldine Robbins and Kevin Robbins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Marvin E Owens Home.
