Larry Phillip Downing Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Phillip Downing of Bremen, Kentucky, born in Greenville, Kentucky, who passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Dawn Downing; his sisters, Della Hyland, Donna Whitmer and Bonal Downing; and his parents, Elmer Downing and Beatrice Downing.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Stovall Downing; his son Chris Downing (Katie) of Gilbertsville; his grandchildren, Tyler Simmons (Alexis), Keaton Downing, Shelby Gaines and Macey Smith (Dustin); and his great grandchildren, Lainey, Ivory, Rylie, Lily and Colton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church (200 Bethlehem Church Rd, Bremen, KY 42325). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 12:19 PM at the Bethlehem Cemetery (6314 KY-175, Bremen, KY 42325).
