He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Ann Markwell; his parents, Edna McCoy and Estil Markwell; his brother Justin McCoy; his son Tracy; and his daughter-in-law Darcy Markwell.
He is survived by: his sons, Kenny Markwell (Melody), Tommy Markwell and Jason Markwell; his grandchildren, Travis Markwell of Cori Osteen, J. T, Kendra Coleman, Caleb McElvain, Carson Markwell and Colin Markwell; his great grandchild River Bea Osteen; and his siblings, Bobby Markwell, Carolyn Tapp and Gloria Penrod (Sam).
