She was predeceased by: her parents, Beulah McCarthy and James McCarthy; her siblings, Wanda Baker (Jay), James Earl McCarthy and Donald McCarthy; her children, Vanessa Holland, Iran Ford and James "Jimmy" Ford; her grandson Eric Vanover; and her former husband Johnny Ford.

She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Vanover (Jeff) of Bremen and Kimberly Baker Hobgood of Bremen; and her grandchildren, Daniel Holland, Christy Ford Bryan, Larissa Vanover Cooper, Jamie Ford Markwell and Trevor Hobgood. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
