It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Matthews (Brandenburg, Kentucky), born in Union Star, Kentucky, who passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Hardesty and Georgia Mae Horton Hardesty; her daughter Robin; her brothers, Ronald, John Hardesty and Stephen Hardesty; and her half-siblings, Eva, Rudolph and Joe Pat.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Resel (Mike) of Taylorsville and Gary Matthews (Stephanie) of Brandenburg; her grandchildren, Benjamin Matthews (Nicole), Alexis Matthews and Gracie Matthews; her great grandchildren, Blakeley Matthews and Hannah Rose Eden; her stepgrandchildren, Alex Resel, Haley Resel, Dane Eden (Courtney), Bret Howell and Eden Howell; and her sisters, Clarice Griffith, Judith Fey (Joey), Brenda Ross (Steve) and Lavonia (Tom). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
