He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey William and Louise Elizabeth Lawson (Powell); his close friend Mary St. John; and his siblings, Ramona Benham, Clayton Lawson, Richard "Burke" Lawson, Dale Lawson and Roger Lawson.
He is survived by: his siblings, James Lawson, Lois Dye, Charlotte Lawson and Edith Darnall. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
