He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dennis and Mary Catherine Watkins (Perry); his parents-in-law, Julia and Charles Reesor; and his brother-in-law Buddy Reesor.
He is survived by: his wife Leona Reesor Watkins; his children, James Watkins (Anna) and Wendy Wright (Phillip); his grandchildren, Amanda Dye (Cody), Hunter Watkins, Jesse Montgomery (Emalee), Zach Watkins, Bryson Wright and Sidney Wright; his great grandchildren, Greyson Dye, Natalie, Dawson and Emma Watkins; and his sisters, Gail Baylor and Bonita Smith. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
