He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ernest Lamkin and Grace Lee Lamkin; his wife Margaret "Margie" Louise Pipes Lamkin; and his foster son Marshall Dale Grimes. He is survived by: his siblings, Dorothy Enlow, Earnestine Higbee, Louise Nellie Renfrow, Shirley Jean Lamkin, George Edgar Lee Lamkin, Charles Franklin Lamkin, Robert Howard Lamkin, Andrew Baxter "Raymond" Lamkin and William Earnest "Bill" Lamkin; his children, Melissa Lamkin Givans of Brandenburg and Corbett "Corby" Lamkin of Louisville, KY; his granddaughters, Kasaundra "Kasi" Margaret Winkler and Lindsey Rae Givans of Brandenburg; and his sister Rita Brown (Garland).
Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home (198 Lawrence St, Brandenburg, KY 40108). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at the Cap Anderson Cemetery.
