She was predeceased by: her parents, James Herman and Anna Mae Brown (Mills); and her husband Francis "Frank" Whelan. She is survived by: her daughters, Sheila Ford, Diana Whelan, Pam Adkisson and Barbara Medley (John); her grandchildren, Brandon Medley (Rachel), David Medley (Ally), Cameron Adkisson (Michaela), Whitney Whelan and Kayla Fuchs (Michael); her great grandchildren, Brody Medley, Wyatt Medley, Bentley Fuchs, Rylee Fuchs, Maya Wardrip, Mallory Wardrip and Beau Adkisson; and her siblings, James L. "Bim" Brown and Maggie Whelan.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John the Apostle Catholic Church (515 Broadway St, Brandenburg, KY 40108). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. John's Youth or to Hosparus of Central Kentucky.
