She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Ward and Lula Van Hoose Ward; her husbands, Floyd Smith and Joseph Ritchie; and her sister Dorothy Limburg.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Floyd L. Smith (Marcie), James R. Smith (Katie), Ray E. Smith (Debbie), Leslie Higginbottom (Jimmy), Rebecca Cantrall (Roy), Cindy Welch, Barry Ritchie and Glenn Ritchie; and her nephew Marc Sturgill. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
