He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Gilbert and Ruth Gilbert (Williams); and his children, Melissa Dawn Gilbert, John Russell Gilbert, Clifford Kyle Collett and David Ryder Collett (Tammy).
He is survived by: his wife Betty Gilbert (Hall); his children, Cynthia Thomas, James Michael Gilbert, Laura Savannah Gilbert and Chris; his siblings, Bobby Gilbert, Elizabeth "Libby" Tedder (Evan) and Virginia "Ricky" Stubbs; and his grandchildren, Andrew Gilbert (Sheridan), Rachael Gilbert (Shawn), Matthew Gilbert (Hannah), Megan Gilbert, Amber Gilbert, Jarred Gilbert (Paige), Chase Gilbert (Claira), Angelina Gilbert and Whitley Leloup (Josh). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
