He was predeceased by: his parents, William Simon Abney and Evadine White Abney of Tompkinsville, KY.. He is survived by: his daughter Jenny Jacobs (Andy); his grandchildren, Grace, Anne Greer and Murray; his former wife Gail Abney Thompson; and his close friend Nancy Thacker (Fancy Nancy).
