The memory of Vetta McCoy of Bowling Green, Kentucky, who passed away on February 9, 2025 at the age of 73, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Lawrence Phelps and Velma Tomes Phelps; and her siblings, Ovanna Hardy, Vendon Phelps, Glen Phelps, Jerry Phelps, Sue Steff, Laymon Phelps, Veda Salling and Una Maye Kennedy.
She is survived by: her husband Eddie McCoy; her children, Bridgette Gentry (Timmy) and Benji McCoy (Shannon); her grandchildren, Dalton Gentry (Sheana), Peyton Gentry and Brantley McCoy; her great grandchildren, Liam Gentry, Olivia Gentry, Lexi and Remi Gentry; and her sister Ann Penner (Earl). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (403 N Main St, Morgantown, KY 42261). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
