He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Henry Carson and Nellie Igleheart Carson; his wife Viola Maxine Creery Carson; and his siblings, Louise Thomas, Elsie Carson, Mildred Hyde, Johnny Carson and Melvin Carson.
He is survived by: his sons, Marvin Carson (Milinda), Robert M. "Bob" Carson (Debbie) and Barry Carson (Laura); and his grandchildren, Brian Carson (Shana), Kevin Carson (Kelly), Craig Carson (Karla), Julia Hiltibidal (Eric), Marci Stewart (Josh), Michelle Hawes (Jeff), Keith Carson (Megan), Kent Carson (Suzie) and Kurt Carson (Maura). He is also survived by twenty-nine great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Grace Baptist Church.
