He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett E. Newman and Ethel Maddox Newman; his wife Mable Newman; his daughter Mellanie Newman Wheeler; his sister Sharon Turner; and his great grandchild Annie Grimes.
He is survived by: his brother Dan Newman; his brother-in-law Rusty Turner; his nephews, Stephen Newman (Kim) of Franklin, TN and Joey Violette (Shelia); his niece Kathy Pruett (Randy); and his grandchildren, Ryan Wheeler (Janna), Erin Wheeler, Joanna Ballard (Brent), Blake Pruett, Nicole Grimes (Eddy) and Kelly Violette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home (901 Fairview Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42101).
