He was predeceased by: his parents, Beverly Elaine Farrington Strout and Frank Everett Strout; and his grandparents, Olive Marks Farrington and Perl Vernon Farrington of Bucksport. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Jeanne Swope Strout; his daughters, Bonnie Bezkor (Bob) of Bowling Green, Dr. Beth Morris (Andrew Monteith) of Buchanan and Virginia; his grandsons, Barrett, Benjamin Bezkor, Drew, Luke and Sam Monteith; and his siblings, Greg Strout (Suzanne) of Simpsonville, Steve Strout (Margery Grennon) of Roswell, Georgia, Jeff Strout (Doris) of Zephyrhills, Florida, Patricia Baker (David) and Terry Swope (Betsy) of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee..
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 21st 2024 from 2:30 AM to 4:00 AM and from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 21st 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Christ United Methodist. The military honors will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Chattanoga National Cemetery.
At Richard's request, any memorials may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation, t2t.org, an organization providing homes to fallen first responder families.
