She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Candia and Estelle Canida (Kitchens); her husband Walter Poteet; and her daughters, Barbara Adamson and Marsha Elaine Poteet.
She is survived by: her children, Walter William Poteet (Effie) and Sandra Prewitt. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
