She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Carson and Mary Carson; and her sister Nelly Gooden. She is survived by: her son Scott; her daughter-in-law Holly Cherry; her grandchildren, Brayden Armstrong and Reagan Cherry; her brother-in-law Charles Gooden; her nephews, Eric Gooden (Jennine Kash) and Chris Gooden (Robin Gooden); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Ryan Gooden and Cameron Gooden.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Ln, Bowling Green, KY 42104). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (1209 Fairview Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42103).
