He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Allen Carter and Pete Carter; and his wife Imogene Miller Carter. He is survived by: his children, Steve Carter (Sherry) and Sherri Carter Sleight (Craig); his sisters, Shirley Sublett and Joyce Stringfield; his grandchildren, Melissa Carter Cook (Cameron), Jordan Carter (Natalie), Carter Sleight and Grant Sleight; and his great grandchildren, Connor, Emma, Hadley and Hazel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home, Inc. (901 Fairview Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42101). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery (1209 Fairview Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42103).
