Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Janie Lee leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Lee Carpenter and Elsie May Newman Carpenter. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Neil Whitley; her son Daniel Neil Whitley (Tiffany); her grandchildren, Addie Rae Whitley and Jacob Neil Whitley of Bowling Green; and her brother Richard Carpenter (Rita) of Russellville.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Eastwood Baptist Church (807 Campbell Ln, Bowling Green, KY 42104). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Gideons or the Hospice House of Southern KY.
