James Sowder Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Sowder of Bowling Green, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 21, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, James is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that James' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Sowder and Goldie Settle Sowder; and his wife Kitty McCoy Sowder. He is survived by: his son James L. "Jamie" Sowder (Brenda); his grandchildren, Rachel Lord, Kevin Sowder and Ethan Sowder; his great grandchild Colson Lord; and his siblings, Charles Sowder (Jesse) and Roseann Culley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
