We are sad to announce that on November 2, 2024, at the age of 67, James Richard Hammonds Jr. (Bowling Green, Kentucky) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Richard Hammonds Sr. and Nancy Louise Hammonds; his brother Steven Neal Hammond; and his parents-in-law, Billy and Ruby Guess.
He is survived by: his wife Mary "Suzy" Hammonds; his daughters, Tiffany Hammonds (Brandon Sloan), Jamie Harper, Crystal Treichelt and Baily Gene Cardwell; his siblings, Brenda Louise Cherry and Russell Wayne Hammonds; his grandchildren, Teagan Treichelt, Mayla Harper and Aliviah Sloan; and his nieces and nephews, Monty Dale Cherry, Amanda Cherry, Scotty Cardwell, James Guess and Ashton Guess. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the J. C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel (832 Broadway Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42101). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the J. C. Kirby & Son Funeral Chapel (832 Broadway Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42101). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Archie Newman Wilson Cemetery (1000 Hadley Cohron Rd, Bowling Green, KY 42101).
