He was predeceased by: his wife Marlene Benningfield; his parents, Theodore Benningfield and Stella Benningfield; and his siblings, Lorene McNear Caudill, Jane Thompson (Brenda Norman) and Charles Benningfield.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Ann Potter (Jerry), Ronnie Benningfield (Katherine) and Randy Benningfield (Jana); his sisters, Regina Albright (Leon) and Virginia Borders; his grandchildren, Shaun Benningfield, Amber Clubb, Brian Geringswald (Angie), Julie Champion (Josh), Bradley Benningfield (Ashley), Max Benningfield, Emily Yates (Cory) and Barrett Croslin (Bethany); and his great grandchildren, Mason Benningfield, Tripp Roberts, Hayven Yates, Reid Geringswald, Jaylee Champion, Jordyn Champion and Cole Benningfield.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel (820 Lovers Ln, Bowling Green, KY 42103). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
