He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold C. Leedom, Sr. and Betty VanHorn Leedom; and his daughter Janet Jean Leedom. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Leedom; his daughter Betty Lou Leedom; his grandchildren, Walter L. Hyman, Jr. (Kirsten), Gage L. and Chase L. Capshaw; his great grandchildren, Neveah and Marcell Hyman; his siblings, Debra Butler-Flores and Donald L. Leedom (Diana); his brother-in-law Vincent Whitehead (Cheryl); and his pets, Penny, BooBoo and Bruno. He is also survived by one niece and eight nephews.
