He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles McGuffey and Lessie McGuffey; his stepfather Ed Meadows; his siblings, Rev. James Meredith McGuffey, Charles Don McGuffey, Tommy Lendell McGuffey, Ernest Roy McGuffey, Danny C. "Bonnie" Boone, Steve M. "Steve" Boone and Phyllis A McGuffey Watters; his stepbrother Willard Meadows; and his granddaughter Heather Goodwill.
He is survived by: his wife Dixie Mowrey McGuffey; his daughters, Tammy Hunter, Carol Goodwill (Walt) and April McGuffey (Ryan Osborn); his stepson Cody Price; his grandchildren, Rachel Daniels, Kent Lewis (Jessica), Candace Henderson (Devon), Casey Auler, Ethan McGuffey-Goodwill, Tyler Bristow (Heaven), Lukas Goodwill (Veronica), Garrett Hunter, Chase Hunter (Diane), Mason Hunter and Lexie Hunter; his stepsiblings, Doris Behrer, Jimmy Meadows, Julie Spradlin and Roberta Ledbetter; his sister Virginia Sipe; his in-laws, Ted and Reberta Mowrey; his brother-in-law Rick Mowrey (Beth); and his former wife Hazel "Imogene" Johnson. He is also survived by 21 beautiful great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Meadowbrook Church of Christ (601 W 38th St, Anderson, IN 46013). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
