It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freeman Jones Simpson (Bowling Green, Kentucky), who passed away on April 22, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jenny Opal Jones and James Marshall Simpson; his wife Gwendolyn Huff Simpson; his sons, Terry Simpson and Roger Huff; and his brother Darcy Simpson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Plunkett (Tim) of Dyer, TN and LaDonna Elms (Dan) of Hadley, KY; his sister Freida Ellis (late Van); and his grandchildren, James (Bobbie), Ryan (Shannon), Bryant (Ashley), Brittnee (Justin), Haley, Andrew, Christopher and Michael. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the J. C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel (832 Broadway Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42101). A masonic service will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the J. C. Kirby & Son Funeral Chapels & Crematory - BROADWAY CHAPEL (832 Broadway Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42101). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the J. C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel (832 Broadway Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42101).
