She was predeceased by: her parents, James Starr and Verna Robinson Starr; and her husband James Upton. She is survived by: her sons, Charles Jones (Shirley), Jimmy Jones (Angie) and J. D. Jones (Stephanie); her stepdaughter Tammy Price; and her sister Helen Matthews (Billy). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one niece and one nephew.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel (820 Lovers Ln, Bowling Green, KY 42103). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
